It was great while it lasted. But, all good things come to an end. Due to a lack of regular members and the expense of renting the Community Center, the group has been disbanded.
Do take advantage of the GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) organizations at your school to meet liked-minded youths.
Also, check out the Santa Fe Mountain Center's GSA Network, which brings together GSAs from across the state.
If you are looking for a friendly and supportive environment to talk about GLBTQ issues and meet some great people (adults and youths alike), you can't go wrong with attending a PFLAG (Parents Friends and Families of Lesbians and Gays) meeting.
Last but not least, if you ever feel threatened because of your sexual orientation, do not hesitate to reach out to your school's Safe Zone representative.
